A self-controlling network that responds to demand spikes and pipe faults. Trigger an event and watch the AI escalation ladder — PRV → pump speed → zone isolation — respond in real time.

AI escalation ladder
The controller works through actions in order — least invasive first. Trigger an event above to see which steps activate.
1
Adjust PRV setpoint
Raise or lower the pressure reducing valve to redistribute head across zones. Fast, non-disruptive.
2
Increase pump speed (VFD)
MPC raises VFD setpoint to boost system pressure. Uses more electricity but maintains supply to all zones.
3
Stage additional pump online
Start standby pump when a single pump at 100% cannot meet demand. Soft-start to avoid demand-charge spike.
4
Isolate affected zone valve
Close zone isolation valve to contain a burst or major leak, protecting network pressure in healthy zones.
5
Operator alert + field crew dispatch
SCADA alarm raised. AI pinpoints leak to within 2–3 pipe segments using pressure differential. Crew dispatched.
24-hour pressure trend — Zone B nodal head
Cyan = normal (15–35 m). Amber = warning. Red = fault / anomaly vs. ML model prediction.
■ Normal■ Warning (<15 m or >40 m)■ Fault / anomaly
Normal operation: All zones within pressure bounds. MPC in energy-saving mode — pump at 75% VFD, drawing on tank. No anomalies detected by ML in the last 24 hours.
